Morgan Freeman, who plays God in this film, is wearing a New York Yankees hat. This hat was chosen since a popular phrase in baseball states, "Even God is a Yankee fan." The set for Bruce Almighty included subtle religious references. For example, when Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey) pulls up to God's office, the outside of the building reads "Omni Presents." This refers to the Islamic, Jewish, and Christian beliefs of the state of God's omnipresence. The address for God's company, 77256 23rd Street, spells Psalm 23 when dialed on a phone. Psalm 23 contains "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want."
