General Sports Questions
Yes. ESPN’s streaming app is called ESPN. You can subscribe to the ESPN Unlimited tier in order to watch SportsCenter live. This includes access to all of ESPN’s linear networks: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNews and ESPN Deportes, plus access to programming on ABC, ESPN Select, ESPN3, SECN+ and ACCNX. It’s effectively “cable ESPN, but via streaming.”
You can stream SportsCenter when subscribing to streaming providers like DIRECTV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, Sling TV Orange and YouTube TV.
To help fans cut through the clutter and watch all their favorite sports in one place, ESPN launched a new direct-to-consumer streaming service on August 21st, 2025, which is also called ESPN. This service is divided into two tiers:
- ESPN Unlimited – This includes access to all of ESPN’s linear networks: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNews and ESPN Deportes, plus access to programming on ABC, ESPN Select, ESPN3, SECN+ and ACCNX. It’s effectively “cable ESPN, but via streaming.” Fans get coverage of more than 47,000 live events each year, on-demand replays, original programming, and more. It’s available as a standalone plan for $29.99/month or $299.99 for the year, with no cable subscription required.
ESPN Unlimited can be bundled with Disney+ and Hulu starting at $35.99/month (with ads on Disney+/Hulu) or $44.99/month (no ads on Disney+/Hulu). ESPN Unlimited can also be bundled with the new FOX One streaming service for $39.99/month. Both ESPN Unlimited and Fox One launched on August 21st, and starting October 2nd, you’ll be able to bundle them together for access that includes everything in the new ESPN suite of programming, plus all of Fox’s News, Sports, and Entertainment-branded content.
- ESPN Select – This is essentially the new name for ESPN+. The service still provides exclusive access to many events, and will simulcast certain sports that air on other channels and offer PPV access to UFC fights — until Paramount takes over as the streaming home of UFC in 2026 — but doesn’t feature the robust programming of ESPN Unlimited.
ESPN Select costs $12.99/month or $129.99/annually. A Disney+ Hulu ESPN Select bundle costs $19.99/month (with ads on Disney+/Hulu) or $24.99/month (no ads on Disney+/Hulu).
How do you enroll in the new ESPN streaming service? If you’re a subscriber to ESPN+ (either with a standalone subscription or as part of a Disney+/Hulu bundle), you’ve automatically been enrolled in the new ESPN Select plan at no additional cost. If you want to subscribe to the ESPN Unlimited plan, you can do so by signing in on either ESPN.com or the ESPN App on mobile and connected TV devices.

MLB
NBA
DIRECTV CHOICE package is the best option, but not the only option, to watch all NBA games. Below is a list of the platforms and what they offer.
DIRECTV
DIRECTV’s CHOICE, ULTIMATE, and PREMIER plans all come with ESPN, TNT, and NBA TV. You’ll also get your local ABC channel and regional sports networks based on your billing location, which gives you complete local and primetime NBA coverage.
NBA League Pass
You’ll need an active Prime membership to sign up for either a monthly, seasonal, or annual pass starting at $16.99 for the monthly pass. There are no live local or primetime games. The greatest benefit of the NBA League Pass is its live access to all games outside your local area. However, the service won’t get you live access to your local team or nationally broadcasted games like the NBA Playoffs or NBA Finals. You can watch these games on demand three hours after they air.
Sling TV
Sling TV is one of the most affordable streaming services on the market and one of the cheapest ways to watch primetime NBA games. Sling Orange offers TNT and ESPN. You can include the Sports add-on for $11.00/month with Sling Blue for NBA TV or get the NBA League Pass for $16.99 for out-of-market coverage.
YouTube TV
This option is best if you want to watch NBA and WNBA. You can purchase a monthly NBA League Pass for $16.99. It offers limited regional sports networks but does include every national NBA and WNBA channel.
ESPN App
The ESPN Unlimited Plan on the ESPN app plays live ESPN NBA games.
YouTube TV and DIRECTV are great options for watching all NBA final games. You will need the CHOICE channel lineup if you choose to go with DIRECTV.
