The ESPN channel is available on many streaming services including Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, Sing TV Orange and DIRECTV STREAM.
ESPN is not offered as a channel or add-on within Prime Video. Although you can subscribe to ESPN+ through Amazon.

No. ESPN’s streaming app is called ESPN+. The subscription is $11.99 per month, or save over 15% with an ESPN+ Annual Plan at $119.99 per year. However, ESPN+ does not give access to the live broadcasts that you’d find on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNNews. You can stream SportsCenter when subscribing to streaming providers like DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, Sling TV Orange and YouTube TV.

ESPN+ has thousands of exclusive live events, original studio shows, and acclaimed series that aren’t on the ESPN networks. ESPN+ allows subscribers to purchase UFC PPV events and access an extensive archive of on-demand content. You can stream ESPN+ within the ESPN app on your streaming device.

Yes, Max’s live sports component began in 2023. They offer a wide variety of live sports including MLB, NHL, NBA, NCAA Men’s March Madness, and U.S. Soccer games and matches. They also include other sports programming such as “Inside the NBA” and Bleacher Report highlights and events. In March 2024, the sports add-on tier will be available for $9.99/month. NFL

Yes. When subscribing to NFL+, you’re able to watch live local, primetime, and postseason NFL games on your mobile devices. You can also watch the NFL Network live 24/7 plus access ad-free NFL library programming on demand through your tv, phone, or tablet. NFL+ is $6.99 per month or $49.99 for the year. There’s also an NFL+ Premium option available, which gives you everything in NFL+ and in addition, allows you to watch replays of games for viewing on your schedule along with NFL RedZone. NFL+ Premium is $14.99 per month or $99.99 for the year.

Yes. You can watch Sunday Night NFL Football games via streaming through a subscription to Peacock. NBC airs the non-streaming version of the games. 

Prime Video is the exclusive home of Thursday Night Football for the 2024 season. It will broadcast 16 NFL games total from Weeks 2 through 16 in the 2024 season and all of the games will be available to stream on Prime Video. Games will be streamed free in local markets of the teams that are playing. Out-of-market viewers will be able to watch Thursday Night Football with a Prime Video subscription. These games will be streamed on the Prime Video app and will not be televised on any national network.

The NFL’s new streaming service, NFL+, can also stream Thursday Night Football games, but only on mobile or tablet devices.

Yes. You can stream the NFL game on CBS but only your local CBS station is available in your area and if you have a Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscription.

If you’re a subscriber to YouTube TV, you can purchase the Sports Plus add-on for $11 per month, which includes three additional sports networks.

If you’re a subscriber to Sling TV Blue, you can purchase the Sports Extra add-on. It includes 10 additional sports networks.

If you sign up for Fubo through Roku, you can’t add NFL RedZone. You need to sign up for NFL RedZone through the Fubo website and subscribe to the NFL RedZone add-on.

NFL Sunday Ticket is a premium out-of-market sports package that broadcasts all NFL regional Sunday afternoon games not available on your local CBS or Fox affiliate.

Yes. If you have the YouTube TV Base Plan, you can also access NFL RedZone by purchasing Sports Plus on YouTube TV for a monthly fee.

If you purchase a pre-season NFL Sunday Ticket package, your purchase is nonrefundable. Additionally, if you purchase the YouTube TV NFL Sunday Ticket/NFL Sunday Ticket with RedZone package, you must also keep an active YouTube TV subscription until, and throughout, the 2023-2024 regular NFL season to keep watching NFL Sunday Ticket. No. You can purchase NFL Sunday Ticket as a standalone service with YouTube Primetime Channels—no bundling required.

NFL Sunday Ticket can be watched on up to two simultaneous device streams.

MLB

The streaming services that offer the MLB Network include DIRECTV STREAM (Choice, Ultimate, and Premier tiers), Fubo (add-on), Sling (add-on), and Pluto TV.
Yes. The MLB.TV app lets you stream all teams and all out-of-market games live during the season and post-season for $29.99/month. Fubo and Sling partnered with MLB.TV and is available as an add-on. Customers will also be able to stream games on-demand via Fubo’s Lookback feature. Peacock streams a Sunday night game and Apple TV+ streams games on Friday nights. 

NBA

DIRECTV STREAM CHOICE package is the best option, but not the only option, to watch all NBA games. Below is a list of the platforms and what they offer.

DIRECTV STREAM

DIRECTV STREAM’s CHOICE, ULTIMATE, and PREMIER plans all come with ESPN, TNT, and NBA TV. You’ll also get your local ABC channel and regional sports networks based on your billing location, which gives you complete local and primetime NBA coverage.

NBA League Pass

You’ll need an active Prime membership to sign up for either a monthly, seasonal, or annual pass starting at $16.99 for the monthly pass. There are no live local or primetime games. The greatest benefit of the NBA League Pass is its live access to all games outside your local area. However, the service won’t get you live access to your local team or nationally broadcasted games like the NBA Playoffs or NBA Finals. You can watch these games on demand three hours after they air.

Sling TV

Sling TV is one of the most affordable streaming services on the market and one of the cheapest ways to watch primetime NBA games. Sling Orange offers TNT and ESPN. You can include the Sports add-on for $11.00/month for NBA TV or get the NBA League Pass for $16.99 for out-of-market coverage.

YouTube TV

This option is best if you want to watch NBA and WNBA. You can purchase a monthly NBA League Pass for $16.99. It offers limited regional sports networks but does include every national NBA and WNBA channel.

ESPN+

The ESPN+ app doesn’t play any live NBA games. To watch the live ESPN NBA games, you need a package that carries the ESPN channel.

Max

Max only streams live coverage of 65 games during the 2023-24 season.

YouTube TV and DIRECTV STREAM are great options for watching all NBA final games. You will need the CHOICE channel lineup if you choose to go with DIRECTV STREAM.

Yes. The NBA’s League Pass allows you to stream hundreds of live games. They have a “with commercials” option and an ad-free option. 

NHL

ESPN+ or DIRECTV STREAM are your best bets. DIRECTV STREAM has ABC, TNT, and ESPN on all channel lineups.

Regional Games

Fans in Local Market: Watch on Regional Sports Network (RSN) with RSN’s app or DIRECTV STREAM

Out-of-Market Fans: Watch on NHL Center Ice with Stream in ESPN+

NHL Network will broadcast certain regional games throughout the season outside of the Local Markets. These games will not be available in ESPN+ or on NHL Center Ice.
